Varga to sign new contract for Celtic as Balde ruled out

STANISLAV VARGA has confirmed he will sign a new one-year deal with Celtic.

The Slovakian defender overcame a stomach virus to fly out for a tour of the United States with the rest of his team-mates on Monday.

He announced that his future with the Parkhead side will be finalised in the next few days. He said: “Everything’s looking good and I will sign a new contract for one more year. I’m feeling lousy at the moment and haven’t been at all well but it will be good to get things sorted out.”
