Deschamps for Juve

DIDIER DESCHAMPS, 37, has been appointed as the new coach of Juventus.

The Frenchman has signed a two-year contract and replaces Fabio Capello. He was coach of the Monaco side that reached the 2004 Champions League final and, as a player with Juve, won three Serie A titles and one Champions League.

He also captained France to success at the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000.
