Le Guen takes time making decision on Rangers trialists

RANGERS manager Paul Le Guen will wait until later in the week before making a decision on his trio of trialists.

Cyril Chapuis, Makhtar N’Diaye and Davide Tosetti all spent last week training with the first-team squad in the hope of winning a move to the Ibrox club.

Both Chapuis, 27, and N’Diaye, 24, are already known to Le Guen, having played under him at Rennes four years ago. They were key men in his team but have since failed to live up to their early promise.

Chapuis struggled to make an impact at Marseilles and on loan at Leeds United, while N’Diaye has spent the last year with Swiss minnows Yverdon-Sport. But the duo look most likely to join Rangers, with Le Guen already indicating that 18-year-old Juventus youngster Tosetti is not ready for the first team.

Chapuis and N’Diaye were used in a practice match against Hamilton Academical on Saturday.
