Glen won’t Crowe if he doesn’t start
Shelbourne travel to Denmark today for their clash with Odense with Crowe, the most prolific Irish striker in European competition, and strike partner Jason Byrne in top form.
Manager Pat Fenlon has tasted success with a 4-5-1 lineup over the past few seasons, with Jason Byrne the usual lone striker, especially away from home.
Crowe has scored two in two games over the past week but admits that Fenlon will probably stick with his tried and trusted formation.
“It’s up to Pat what formation we play and whoever gets the nod, if its one up front, they’ll do their best,” he said, “I can’t see us going with any other formation.
“I want to be playing, but it’s more important that we do well and get a good result to take home.
“I don’t mind Jason catching up on me either, that just means we’re doing well. I’d like to score a few more, but it’s not important who scores, just that we do.
“We’re heading over in confident mood, and hopefully we’ll have the edge going into the last 20-30 minutes thanks to our fitness.”
