BRAZIL coach Carlos Alberto Parreira has condemned the violence that broke out during Portugal’s 1-0 victory against Holland.

Referee Valentin Ivanov brandished 16 yellow cards, equalling the tournament record, as well as sending off four players — Deco and Costinha for Portugal and Dutch duo Khalid Boulahrouz and Giovanni van Bronckhorst — all for two bookable offences.

“It was a very bad game.

“There was too much violence. It was not football. The players were too fond of playing in a dirty way,” said Parreira.
