Eagles set to swoop for their new manager

CRYSTAL PALACE have identified the man they want to be their new manager, director of football Bob Dowie has revealed.

Chairman Simon Jordan has interviewed the final two candidates to succeed Iain Dowie, with Hull boss Peter Taylor strongly linked with the post.

An announcement is expected early next week.

Dowie said: “Simon has intimated that he knows who he wants, and now it’s just a matter of trying to get him.

“We interviewed two managers who have competed in the Champions League, but Simon wanted someone with experience of the Championship.”
