Sheridan new Oldham boss

JOHN SHERIDAN is the new manager at Oldham Athletic.

Ronnie Moore has parted company with the Boundary Park club after 15 months in charge of the League One outfit and assistant John Breckin has also left the club and the Latics have moved swiftly to install Sheridan.

Rotherham boss Moore replaced Brian Talbot in March 2005 and this season steered his side to within six points of a play-off place.
