Gudjohnsen may strike for Barcelona
CHELSEA striker Eidur Gudjohnsen would welcome a move to Barcelona, according to the player’s father.
The 27-year-old has enjoyed a successful six years at Stamford Bridge but is no longer an automatic choice in the starting XI for the Premiership champions.
His father Arnold Gudjohnsen, who also acts as his son’s agent, said: “The only thing I can say is that he wants to leave Chelsea. He wants to go to a club where he can win lots of titles and Barca could be the one.”
Gudjohnsen has been linked with the European champions as well as Manchester United.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has admitted he would be willing to listen to offers for the Iceland international and Barca are in need of reinforcements with striker Henrik Larsson returning to Swedish side Helsingborg this summer.
