Hotel cleared as virus blamed for Spurs stars’ illness

A GROUP of Tottenham Hotspurs’ players had been exposed to a virus before arriving at a hotel where they ate a meal later blamed for their illness, it was announced yesterday.

Ten Spurs players were taken sick ahead of their crucial final-day Barclays Premiership game against West Ham, which they lost 2-1.

Their request to replay the game was later turned down by the Premier League.
