Ireland drawn against World Champions

THE draw for the Cerebral Palsy European Championships was held yesterday by FAI Technical Director, Packie Bonner and Austin Mallon, Irish Sports Council.

Ireland drawn against World Champions

The Republic of Ireland were drawn with Ukraine, who are the reigning European, World and Paralympic champions, Scotland and Spain.

UCD will host this 7-a-side tournament in July, which will be hosted by the FAI, Cerebral Palsy Sport Ireland and the Irish Sports Council.

An added incentive for this competition is that a top three finish can guarantee the teams a place at the Paralympics in 2008.

The Ukraine are currently in Ireland and drew 2-2 with the Irish in Clonshaugh yesterday.

The Republic of Ireland will face the Ukraine again on Sunday in the AUL Sports Complex, Clonshaugh at 6pm.
