Strachan puts friendship on ice for first Old Firm battle
The former Aberdeen team-mates lock horns for the first time as bosses on different sides of the big Glasgow divide. Strachan has great respect for his opposite number but they will not exchange pleasantries until the battle is over.
“That’s on ice,” said Strachan. “I don’t want to talk about him. If I’ve got anything to say to him I’ll say it to his face. I have a very high regard for him as a man, manager and a player.
