Bridge too far for Bohs

Rosenborg 4 Bohemians 0(Rosenborg win 5-0 on aggregate)

Bridge too far for Bohs

The power, class and pedigree of Rosenborg deservedly earned them a third round clash with Deportivo La Coruna with the first leg in Trondheim next week. Trailing by a single goal from the first leg, it was always going to be an uphill task for Bohemians especially after Azar Karadas had the home side ahead on the night on 44 minutes following stiff resistance by the visitors in the opening half.

Bohemians had an early let-off when Karadas burst down the right only to be taken down by a clumsy challenge by defender Simon Webb. But Dutch referee Ruud Bossen played the advantage rule to allow veteran Roar Strand to send over a low cross from the right missed by former Celtic man Harald Brattbakk.
