Jose’s Spurs ‘no’

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho insisted there was never any chance of him being lured to Tottenham, despite having heard that Spurs were potentially interested in him last Christmas.

Tottenham spent much of last season scouring Europe for a new full-time manager, with many coaches, including not only Mourinho, but also Giovanni Trapattoni, being linked with the post.

Former France boss Jacques Santini eventually took over at the North London club, who face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tomorrow.
