Juventus still tracking Vieira
General director Luciano Moggi travelled to London this week for talks with the Gunners regarding the 29-year-old Arsenal skipper’s possible transfer to the Stadio Delle Alpi. Vieira, who is under contract with the Premiership club until June 2007, came close to joining Real Madrid last summer but in the end he opted to remain in London.
Reports in the Italian media suggest it is Arsenal’s asking price of E20 million (£13.7m) that is stopping Juve from acquiring the services of Vieira .
The Bianconeri are reportedly offering E7m (£4.8m) plus Ghanaian midfielder Stephen Appiah in the transfer package.
Meanwhile, Moggi has reiterated that Chelsea target David Trezeguet is definitely not for sale.
The French forward has been linked for the past few weeks with a move to the Premiership League champions this summer with Blues coach Jose Mourinho desperate to sign a top-class striker.
