CELTIC chairman Brian Quinn yesterday gave supporters the news they had dreaded by revealing there would be no money for manager Martin O’Neill to spend.

The club revealed at its AGM that its debt had fallen to £15million (€21.8m) from the £17.78m (€25.8m) of the previous year.

But despite landing a five-year £25m (€36.3m) sponsorship deal with sportswear giants Nike, the Northern Irishman was told they had to stay stringent to erase their debt.
