Forget Chelsea warns Benitez

RAFAEL BENITEZ has warned his Liverpool stars to put all thoughts of facing Premiership leaders Chelsea out of their minds.

After hitting eight goals in two matches and losing just once in their last eight outings, - Liverpool believe that they are at last getting things right and are on the brink of making an impact on the chase for at least a Champions League spot. And there would be no better way of underlining that growing confidence than by deflating leaders Chelsea at Anfield on New Year’s Day.

But manager Benitez believes such talk could leave Liverpool embarrassed if they fail to see off second from bottom Southampton at Anfield tomorrow.
