Irish U21 squad selected

Republic of Ireland U 21 manager Don Givens has selected an 18-man squad for the European Championship qualification doubleheader with Cyprus and Switzerland at the beginning of September.

Ireland face Cyprus in Buckley Park, Kilkenny, on September 3 before flying out to Berne for the game on September 7.

Unbeaten in the last 12 matches, Ireland go into the qualifiers confident of qualification for the 2006 European U21 Championships. As the top two from every group go into a play-off, Ireland must do well against Cyprus, Switzerland, France and Israel to progress.
