ARSENE WENGER has been taken aback by Guus Hiddink’s criticism of his conduct during Wednesday night’s Champions League clash with PSV Eindhoven.

Arsenal had both skipper Patrick Vieira and defender Lauren sent off by referee Herbert Fandel as the sides fought out a 1-1 draw. Afterwards, Wenger accused the German official of double standards, expressing his surprise that PSV captain Mark van Bommel had escaped without even a caution.

Hiddink retorted by claiming the Arsenal manager had “helped to create some problems.”
