Kinnear on FA charge after blast at referee

NOTTINGHAM FOREST manager Joe Kinnear has been charged with bringing the game into disrepute following a verbal attack on referee Phil Crossley.

Kinnear on FA charge after blast at referee

Kinnear was seething after relegation-threatened Forest’s 2-1 defeat to Gillingham at Priestfield earlier in the month in which Crossley dismissed Forest’s Alan Rogers.

But Kinnear was equally incensed when claiming Andy Hessenthaler denied them a goalscoring opportunity by bringing down Andy Reid, an offence for which Crossley handed out a yellow card. Now the City Ground supremo has been formally charged by the FA.
