Limerick swoop for ex-Leeds United striker

LIMERICK FC have signed former Leeds United striker Chris Jones until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old Welsh U19 and U20 international signed with the Blues yesterday and Noel O’Connor’s side have an agreed option to sign him for another two seasons after the 2005 campaign concludes.

Jones played for Leeds United in the Championship and was on loan with Bournemouth when he was snapped up by the Shannonsiders. The signing comes a week after former Aston Villa ace John McGrath snubbed three English clubs to put pen to paper with the Eircom First Division high fliers.
