Benitez: Chelsea can be beaten

EUROPEAN champions Liverpool have thrown down the gauntlet to Premiership leaders Chelsea by telling them: “You are not unbeatable.”

As the sides who fought out a memorable Champions League semi-final clash last season square up again for tomorrow night’s clash at Anfield in this season’s competition, the hype has been all about Chelsea taking revenge for last term’s defeat by Liverpool that sent Rafael Benitez’s men to Istanbul.

But boss Benitez and fellow Spaniard Xabi Alonso have made it clear Liverpool do not fear the English champions, currently leading the Premiership with a 100% record.
