Jol angered by chants

TOTTENHAM manager Martin Jol has criticised “tasteless” West Ham fans for chants aimed at Egyptian striker Mido.

The player, who scored in a 1-1 draw against the Hammers on Sunday, was racially taunted by sections of the visiting support.

Jol said: “Was it tasteless? Yes. Our fans gave Teddy Sheringham a marvellous reception on his return and that is the way we deal with things.”
