MANCHESTER CITY boss Stuart Pearce has signed his two-year rolling contract.

Pearce had been working without a contract since replacing Kevin Keegan, 12 months ago. He finally decided to sign after discussions with chairman John Wardle, partly to satisfy Premier League regulations.

Pearce, 43, who has been linked with the England vacancy, said: “I have never been a big lover of bits of paper”.

“The chairman’s word means far more.”
