Eto’o puts Barca 14 points clear

ARSENAL fans may take some solace from last Friday night’s game in La Liga, when their Champions League opponents this week were less than impressive.

However, they were up against many people’s fancies for the Champions League itself - Barcelona.

An early Samuel Eto’o strike gave the Catalans a 1-0 victory over Villarreal and moved them another step closer towards the defence of their Primera Liga title. The Cameroon striker scored in the 11th minute as Barca extended their lead over nearest challengers Valencia and Real Madrid to 14 points.
