HIBERNIAN manager Tony Mowbray has firmly distanced himself from any possible return to his former club Middlesbrough as a replacement for under-fire manager Steve McClaren.

McClaren and chairman Steve Gibson were confronted by angry fans after Boro’s 4-0 defeat by Aston Villa at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday.

The latest disappointment in an erratic season was followed by reports that Middlesbrough players told former team-mate Jonathan Greening they are beginning to question their manager’s methods.
