Lennon not worried by transfer lull
The departure of star striker Henrik Larsson to Barcelona has left Hoops fans facing an anxious wait to find out who will fill the massive gap left by the Swedish hitman.
Former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and the Czech Republic’s Marek Heinz are both understood to have attracted the attentions of Martin O’Neill but so far O‘Neill has resisted temptation to open the club’s cheque-book and make any signings.
But Lennon knows O’Neill traditionally pounces at the eleventh hour to secure his summer signings and he insists he is relaxed about the lack of new faces so far.
“Over the years I’ve known him to wait until the last minute and I don’t think anyone should be panicking, because he has proved himself often enough in the transfer market.”
