Terry left the Anfield pitch in tears following the 1-0 defeat by Liverpool and admitted that the agony was even worse than being knocked out by Monaco in the semi-final a year ago. Terry said: "We're gutted overall. We've reached the Champions League semi-final for the second year running and not made the final.

"The fact that we've won the league doesn't make it better, in fact it's even worse.
