Sven on top of my form, admits frank Lampard

FRANK LAMPARD has admitted England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson was right to say his performances are not up to last season’s high standard.

In between their recent World Cup qualifying matches against Wales and Northern Ireland, the Swede said Lampard was struggling to find the kind of form that won him the English media's player of the year award.

Eriksson's remarks were ignored by Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who claimed there was nothing wrong with Lampard's commitment to the cause or his form during the team's five consecutive victories.
