SHAUN WRIGHT-PHILLIPS has provided the clearest hint yet he has no desire to leave Manchester City for Chelsea.

With Chelsea’s attempts to lure Ghanaian midfielder Michael Essien to Stamford Bridge stalling, they could find themselves in the same situation with City should they eventually get round to making a bid.

On at least three occasions, rumours have surfaced that Chelsea were hours away from making a big-money approach to City for their £22million-rated England winger, but still nothing has materialised.
