Abramovich buys second jumbo

ROMAN ABRAMOVICH has bought himself a second jumbo jet to add to his Boeing 737, three yachts and two helicopters. The Boeing 767 is more than twice the size of his current one. At £560m it is also double what he paid for the club.

The aircraft normally seats 360 people but is undergoing a complete interior conversion.

After being bought by the 37-year-old Russian oil tycoon it was repainted in white and grey at Filton airfield, Bristol, England, before being flown to Basel in Switzerland to be fitted out.

Paul Woods, sales and marketing director at Air Livery, said his company had repainted the jet for £280,000. He added: "They won't admit it but everybody knows it's for Abramovich. It's having the full executive interior bathrooms, showers, plasma TVs the whole malarkey."
