Wanchope leaves City

PAULO Wanchope has completed his move to Malaga from Manchester City, ending a seven-year spell in English football.

The 28-year-old striker has joined the Spanish side for £500,000 after completing the formalities of his move.

During his injury-interrupted four years at City, the bandy-legged Costa Rican made 76 appearances and scored 29 goals.

Meanwhile, City have signed goalkeeper Ronald Waterreus on a five-month contract from PSV Eindhoven.

The Holland international completed his medical yesterday at the Carrington training complex and is available for tomorrow’s game against Charlton.
