Vital we bounce back, says Shearer

ALAN SHEARER has rounded on Uriah Rennie, accusing the referee of robbing him of his duties as Newcastle captain.

The Newcastle skipper has been hit with a one-match suspension after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season on Thursday in the 4-3 defeat by Bolton.

Shearer was cautioned after complaining about Lomana LuaLua’s booking for diving following a challenge from Mike Whitlow and will now be suspended for the match against West Ham next month.
