Ramalho resigns as Inter boss

MURICY RAMALHO has decided against continuing as coach of Brazilian outfit Internacional.

Ramalho resigns as Inter boss

Ramalho led the Porto Alegre-based side to a runners-up spot behind Corinthians in the recently-completed Campeonato Brasileiro but has now opted to call it a day at the club.

“After meeting my closest people, I called vice-president Vitorio Piffero to tell him I was quitting as the team’s coach,” said Ramalho, one of only two coaches who remained with their club throughout the season. “Now, I need to think about my career. I’ll go on holidays and think about my future.”

Fluminense boss Abel Braga - the only other coach to keep his job during the campaign - is the leading candidate to replace Ramalho.
