Rix in running for Hearts job
The former Chelsea first-team coach has emerged as a possible replacement for George Burley.
Rix, 48, has been out of the game since leaving Oxford in March and is currently a scout for Wolves. He attended the Jambos’ Premier League win over Dundee United, prompting the possibility of the ex-Arsenal striker taking over.
However, a Hearts spokesperson said: “The club has no comment to make regarding the managerial position at this time.”
Bobby Robson insists he is also waiting on a call from majority shareholder Vladimir Romanov after a week of turmoil within the club in which Chief executive Phil Anderton was sacked on Monday and chairman George Foulkes resigned in protest.
