Adams set to decide on Wise future

LEICESTER CITY manager Micky Adams flies back to England this morning to decide what further punishment to hand out to midfielder Dennis Wise.

Adams set to decide on Wise future

Adams will arrive back with the rest of the squad after their pre-season tour of Finland was blighted by a confrontation between Denis Wise and Callum Davidson.

Former England star Wise was sent home and suspended after an incident which left Davidson with a double fracture of his cheekbone.

Wise, signed by then manager Peter Taylor, also made only a limited impact during his first season at Leicester before injury setbacks curtailed his contribution early in the New Year.

Meanwhile, Newcastle striker Carl Cort has been ruled out of the club’s pre-season tour of Holland after another setback. He has seen his first two seasons on Tyneside ruined by injury.

Newcastle face competition from Italian giants AC Milan if they decide to step up their interest in Brazilian superstar Rivaldo following his release by Barcelona. Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani yesterday said the Serie A side is hoping to lure him to Italy.
