Bruce warns Blues bad boy Pennant to lead ‘a better life’

STEVE Bruce has warned Birmingham winger Jermaine Pennant to “lead a better life off the field” after disciplining the player following his fracas at a nightclub.

Bruce met Pennant at Blues’ training ground yesterday morning - 36 hours after he allegedly brawled with a doorman and was ejected at 3am from a Birmingham club where a party was held for rapper Kanye West.

Pennant’s off-field antics have blighted a promising career. He served a month-long sentence for drink driving last season midway through a loan spell from Arsenal which became permanent last summer.
