Charlton chairman’s warning

CHARLTON chairman Richard Murray has called for a “redistribution of finances within football on a more equal basis” to avoid the Premier League being dominated by a select few and becoming “predictable.”

Charlton have reported a net profit of £1.3m (€1.9m) in their annual report to the Stock Exchange and Murray used the platform to warn against a continuation of the current status quo, which sees Chelsea able to out-bid any of their rivals in terms of transfer fees and wages.
