Lennon: I’m not in Foxes hunt

CELTIC captain Neil Lennon has ruled out a return to Leicester City as manager.

The 34-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move to Leicester as a possible replacement for Craig Levein, who was sacked last month.

But, while Lennon has made no secret of his desire to go into coaching, he insists his immediate future lies at Celtic Park.

He said: “I haven’t even started taking my coaching badges yet.”

Lennon is concentrating on keeping his starting place, with Roy Keane trying to break into the first team. The former Manchester United captain has been unable to dislodge the Hoops skipper since making his debut in the Scottish Cup defeat at Clyde on January 8.

Lennon said: “Most people are surprised by it but the manager picks the team. I’m sure Roy will get his chance eventually and will be good enough to get into the team.”
