Novo hits double

NACHO NOVO was hero and villain at Dens Park yesterday after he came off the bench to fire in the goals that gave Rangers their first league victory of the season away from Ibrox.

The little Spaniard had been worshipped by the Dundee fans until the summer when he opted to join Rangers.

But two goals in as many minutes silenced the home fans who had been booing him and also lifted the pressure off Alex McLeish. It moved Rangers up to second and cut Celtic’s lead to five points.
