Angel keen to make up for lost time

JUAN Pablo Angel has returned early to pre-season training with Aston Villa and is determined to be in prime shape for the start of the season.

The Colombian had been given extra time off by Villa manager David O'Leary after playing for his country against England in America and then in two World Cup qualifiers in June.

Villa's record signing, who had a disappointing 2004/05 campaign, has opted to start preparing for the new season at the same time as his team-mates.
