Mutu returns to face the music

ADRIAN MUTU returned to Chelsea yesterday with his Stamford Bridge team-mates offering their support to the troubled Romanian international.

The club have yet to make any official comment on the future of their striker, who failed a random drug test and has admitted taking cocaine.

Mutu flew back into London following a break in Rome for more talks with his employers and is also set to begin a series of daily counselling sessions today in a bid to avoid a possible two-year ban from the game at both club and international level.

The 25-year-old will be interviewed by the FA in the next few days and could then face a formal charge and disciplinary hearing.
