Bohs in front in Intertoto Cup

Bohemians earned a priceless first leg lead in their Intertoto Cup first round clash against Belgian side Ghent as Tony Grant scored the only goal of the game at Dalymount Park on Saturday night.

Grant headed home from close range with the help of a slight deflection after Dominic Foley had done brilliantly to whip over a cross from the left wing, though Bohemians will be disappointed not to have made more of their dominance.

Foley and Stephen Ward both went close in the first half before Grant opened the scoring in the third minute of the second half when Foley did brilliant on the left wing to whip over a cross for Grant to head past Runje with the aid of a slight deflection off Stephen Laybutt.
