Boost for City as Dunne returns to training

RICHARD DUNNE gave Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce a timely boost by making a surprise return to training yesterday.

The Irish centre-back was expected to miss the first three months of the new season.

It was claimed he fractured a bone in his foot when he kicked a wall in frustration in the aftermath of his attempts to calm team-mate Joey Barton in a Bangkok bar.
