Barcelona secure services of van Bommel

BARCELONA have confirmed the signing of PSV Eindhoven midfielder Mark van Bommel.

The 28-year-old Dutch has agreed a three-year contract with the Spanish giants, who won their first Primera Liga title since 1999 last weekend.

Van Bommel will officially join Barca on July 1 after his contract with PSV runs out, although he will link up with his new team-mates in mid-June after representing Holland in their World Cup qualifier against Finland.
