Mourinho to make Lampard his centre of attention

CHELSEA coach Jose Mourinho believes he can make Frank Lampard the best player in Europe - by turning him into a different kind of midfielder.

And he has told midfield partner Joe Cole to nail down a regular first-team place at Stamford Bridge - by performing as he has in the last two matches.

Mourinho, whose Blues face Southampton at Stamford Bridge today, knows Lampard was Chelsea’s outstanding performer last season with his consistency and 15 goals.
