Everton bag McLeod and chasing Fulham’s Davis
Fulham insist their midfielder is not for sale, a spokesman for the west London club said, adding: "Even if he was, Everton couldn't afford him."
A £6 million fee for Davis has been mooted, and that could mean cash-strapped Moyes switching his attention to Charlton's Scott Parker.
But while Moyes is struggling to claim one player from west London, he has convinced McLeod who had a loan spell at Fulham's landlords QPR last term that he has a future at Goodison Park.
Liverpool-born McLeod has spent the summer mulling over the offer of a new one-year deal, unsure whether he had a genuine future at the club. But after talks with Moyes this week, the 22-year-old has been convinced his future is on Merseyside and will re-sign.
Tomasz Radzinski has returned to full training after recovering from the groin injury that ruined the last quarter of his season. And the Canadian was voted player of the year after a poll on the club's website.
Everton have switched their opponents for Colin Harvey's testimonial match on August 10. Bologna have stepped in after fellow Italians Parma dropped out because of domestic commitments.
