WEST Ham manager Alan Pardew has labelled the evergreen Teddy Sheringham a “breed apart” - but admits he is contemplating leaving him out of the starting line-up.

The 39-year-old has been defying the ageing process by starring for the Hammers in their return to the Premiership.

But Pardew, whose side moved up to seventh following Monday night’s 4-0 demolition of Aston Villa, is keen to use the former England international sparingly and may therefore rest him at Fulham on Saturday.
