Crespo will accept pay cut to stay at AC
Crespo spent last season on loan at the San Siro from Chelsea and is eager to stay for at least 12 further months.
Although Crespo would remain registered as a Chelsea player, the Barclays Premiership champions will not be obliged to top up his wages if the deal is prolonged by another year.
Under the current arrangement, Milan are believed to pay part of Crespo’s wages, with Chelsea making up the difference to his full salary. “Next week everything will be settled,” said Crespo’s agent, Fernando Hidalgo. “Chelsea have a board meeting next Thursday and it will be resolved.”
The Argentinian is so keen to stay with the Rossoneri that he will have no complaints over losing out financially, says Hidalgo.
