Wigan swoop for Austrian defender
The Latics have beaten Birmingham to the central defender after offering more than their Premiership rivals. A statement on the club’s website read: “The club have agreed a transfer fee with Premier League club Wigan and it is now down to the Austrian to discuss his personal terms.
“Earlier in the autumn Birmingham made an offer for the Brann defender but Brann did not find it sufficient.” Club administrator Bjorn Dahl said: “The offer Wigan have made is more than Birmingham’s.”
