Vieira needs to prove his commitment to Gunners’ cause

ARSENE WENGER has challenged Patrick Vieira to win back any sceptical Arsenal fans by proving his commitment to the club on the pitch – starting today at Fulham.

Vieira has admitted he was set to move to Real Madrid this summer before a last-minute change of heart, when he pledged his future to Arsenal instead.

Indeed, the French midfielder acknowledged after last month's U-turn that "the only way I can win the fans back is on the pitch".
